In vegetative condition, *T. elliptica *can be distinguished from *T. arjuna *(the only two species in India under sect. *Pentaptera*) with certainty by the presence of conspicuous, often shortly stipitate, clavate or turbinate foliar glands on the undersurface of the leaves at or near the junction of petiole and lamina and sometimes also on the midrib some distance away from the base. In *T. arjuna*, the foliar glands are small, circular and sessile. In this case, therefore, the images are referable to *T. elliptica *Willd. Regards, Tapas.
