Little bit literature on Strychnos Nux Vomica literature, thought of sharing
with you.

Few decades back the seeds were exported to Australia in a large scale - to
control Rabbit overpopulation
Used in rat poisoning,
Bitter taste 1 : 4,00,000 strychnine and water proportions can still make the
water taste bitter,
To treat mentally ill patients, Improve blood circulation
Used in small quantities by drug addicts for small time pleasures,
Entire tree is poisonous, but the poison is mainly concentrated in the seeds.
Sometimes, the grazing cow eats the leaves of this tree, and then the milk of
this cow tastes bitter like that of the tree. Then the milk is considered
dangerous to humans.

English poet Milton, when these seeds entered London city in 1637.

"That fatal and
perfidious drug
built in the eclipse and
 rigged with curses dark"
