I suppose the exotic *Lansium parasiticum
<http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/kew-2494222>* (syn. *L.
domesticum*) is found in South India only under cultivation. Please check
with the native *Aglaia elaeagnoidea* (A. Juss.) Benth. which has been
reported wild from the Eastern Ghats (including Kolli Hills
<https://books.google.co.in/books?id=pSXidQZupHYC&pg=PA239&dq=aglaia+elaeagnoidea&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiJvr6wh5vVAhXKpJQKHQPZBNk4ChDoAQgyMAM#v=onepage&q&f=false>).
There are some good photographs from the fruiting phase of this tree
in the Digital
Flora of Karnataka
<http://florakarnataka.ces.iisc.ernet.in/hjcb2/herbsheet.php?id=2771&cat=1> and
in the India Biodiversity Portal
<http://indiabiodiversity.org/observation/show/398095>.

Best wishes, Viplav
