Dear Garg ji,
   That is because these lilies are hybrid in origin. There is no true
species called Lilium asiatica - many sites erroneously or loosely give
that name. Royal Horticulure Society has categorized all the Lilium hybrids
into 9 divisions, the first of which is Asiatic hybrids. Read about it here:
