This is deeply saddening news. Bhaskar sir played a major role in helping
me cultivate my interest in taxonomy. He willingly allowed me to join him
on collection trips when I initially began learning about plants and never
took more than a few hours to respond to any of my questions regarding
Imaptiens.

I will always remember how he spotted a specimen about 30 feet uphill of us
in Chikamagalur and raced away before any of us could even start climbing!

A great loss indeed.
