Yes this is Persicaria chinense var. ovalifolia (Meisn.) H. Hara. One may
get confused with other species of Persicaria because of its broadly ovate
bracts which are prominently visible here at the terminal ends. This
species is highly polymorphic and is represented by four varieties.
