Professor Singh - this plant does not match *Ajuga bracteosa* - not close. According to 'The Plant List' this is not a valid name but I currently do not know what *Ajuga bracteosa* Wallich ex Benth. should named as. I do not have the time to check further what this might be. Did not immediately recognise it nor have come across it around Manali myself. As you know, it is much easier (and quicker) to tell what something is not, rather than what it is!
