Mr TiIwari: You are right as far as theoretical knowledge is concerned, but practically ... what you describe is not practical...
In the field its not possible to lug a tripod along with a ball head, quick release plate, and four-way focusing rail along with one's 100 to 200 mm macro, various ND and enhancing filters and a flash or two on a DSLR with the batteries.... these small flowers would need to be in perfect focus and so a focusing rail would be a must ... I should know because I have done it...and still do when I am in a protected safe environ with friends when I have the luxury of spending up to an hour or so on one small group of flowers and take competition quality pictures.... but for the botanical survey or documentation or even for ID purposes .... or when in the filed when I have to take lots of pictures .... or I have to be nimble and be on the lookout for the local rowdies, (( too tiring by far, and unwieldy... I did it a few times and stopped...))...now I just carry (not even my DSLR) but the smaller/lighter prosumer... SONY DSCH5. *and Gurchrranji is right*.. hand-held DSLR with the new fast macro lenses do a good job.... ask Dinesh , Satish , Prasad Dash etc and you'll get very similar response... and as we have seen from Gurcharanji's recent pictures he is doing quite well holding his DSLR and the macro lens... Pankaj Shahni does well with his DSLR Macro set up with two smaller flashes that he uses instead of a ring flash ... I believe he uses them hand held when needed... RULES ARE GOOD TO TEACH AND LEARN... but once you master the art of knowing what you want to grab/document and/or show to your audience... hand held does very well , indeed.
