For Symplocos sumuntia, Flora of China gives a long flowering period as Fl. Feb-Nov, fr. Apr-Nov. as per http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200017695 So it is also possible that pyrifolia also has such long flowering period.
