Dear members,
Dr. Sabu is one of the top taxonomists of India & an expert on Zingiberaceae,
Musaceae, Marantaceae etc. He is the Professor, Taxonomy and Floristics
Division, Department of Botany, Calicut University, Kerala. He was also the
Secretary of Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy, established in
1990, which also brings out Rheedea (of which he is the Executive editor),
which publishes peer reviewed original research and review articles in
angiosperm taxonomy.
Despite being very busy, he has taken care of identifications single
handedly in these families.
I will say he seems to be a very humble person who wants to see that Indian
Taxonomy stays on top & he will leave no stone un-turned in this matter.
My salute to him for his untiring work. We will remain indebted to him for
his great contributions in building up of efloraofindia.
