Thanks, Saroj ji. Any species is first described as e. g. Solena heterophylla This you can say is Solena heterophylla subsp. heterophylla. If subsequently, any other subspecies of this species is described, only than we use subsp. heterophylla. Otherwise we simply call it Solena heterophylla.
There has been confusion regarding taxonomy of this species and we have got correct details in efi site, based on latest publication from Renner and Pandey. Pl. check.
