First i must thank Paradesi ji for pointing out the discrepancy of my 
ID.,as it would have remained misidentified.I too believe this is not Maesa 
indica.I have come across this plant(Shrub?) many times but ignored it so i 
can photograph it when i see some flowers on it but I never saw any flowers 
,may be I missed them or were not visible to me.This looked to be a small 
shrub.I don't know if this is Cordia monoica until it is validated by 
somebody.
