You have to understand that elevation differences
in reality may be about something called
peripheral population of the plants versus center of the population
there is not only differences in size, there is also some genetic material
variation and
that is a vast subject,   fit for a n entire long project and grants for
whole department of botany
or BSI
we can not solve it here
