Subject: research positions at CES, IISc Dear All, Centre for Ecological Sciences (CES), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore is seeking a Project Assistant and a Project Trainee for the long-term Forest Ecology Program at Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The Forest Ecology Program at Mudumalai seeks to examine the interactions between plant community dynamics, soils and environment over long periods of time. Candidates should be Indian nationals. Candidates who can demonstrate willingness to carry out extended periods of field work and work well as part of the team will be preferred. The positions are based at Masinagudi, Nilgiris district, Tamilnadu, where our Mudumalai field base is located. The appointed person will be required to conduct field work, compile data, and report to the Bangalore-based team at CES, IISc. The appointment will be on a contractual basis, initially for a period of one year, which can be extended contingent on performance and availability of research positions.
