A clear distinction between the two species is that Vinca major has leaves with distinctly hairy margin, as seen here: http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Large%20Leaf%20Periwinkle.html A sharper picture and a closeup from Tanay might bring this out. As such, this one appears to be Vinca major to me. - Tabish
