may be some one cultivated or even sometimes such aberration occurs
naturally in wild. Its just for someone to pick up and make a market for it.
There are many such examples.
In china and japan they keep looking for such aberrations in wild on
orchids like Cymbidium. For example a Cymbidum in wild with variegated
leaves may sell for thousands.
Sometimes they do inbreeding to bring out such deformities and of course
then there is a market for such plants too.
