For Strobilanthes discolor I am looking for a strongly isophyllous plant with one leaf much smaller in each pair, typically discolorous and slightly oblique. The inflorescence should be well-branched with capitellate flowers, caducous bracteoles and a glabrous, somewhat bent blue corolla. The calyx is small, glabrous when young but somewhat accrescent and later glandular. The only very similar species (I.e with the glabrous corolla and this kind of inflorescence) is S. clarkei, which I am not certain is truly distinct but this has a paniculate inflorescence and an eglandular calyx at maturity. Both the images sent seem to fit S. discolor but I suppose a third (new) species could be involved but this is not obvious from the photos I have seen.
