Garg ji, It is growing at Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla where many exotic plants have been introduced either by Britishers or by the Institute. According to them, it is Magnolia fasciata, with accepted name, what I had written. If not this, then the nearest match will be Magnolia × soulangiana. But, that also looks different. Let's explore for new ID.
