Thanks very much Paradesi ji. Actually I am keen to know which characteristics of the posted plant rule out *A. javanica*, *A. javanica* is supposed to be most common in Jaisalmer and the adjoining Thar desert.
In flora of Jaisalmer / Rajasthan, there are other species of *Aerva* too ... *lanata*, *persica* as well as *sanguinolenta*. When I think of *A. sanguinolenta, * I see is as dense as posted plant, also I expect to see good amount of leaves. I earnestly request more people to critically validate ID of the posted plant.
