Re-opening this thread.

When posted under the Acanthaceae fortnight here 
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/indiantreepix/xZux63p9j88>, the 
keys suggested E. pubescens.

Would appreciate expert opinion on whether this is E. pubescens or E. 
roseum.
