Is it different from Phyllanthus amarus (keezhaanelli in Tamil, meaning the 
berries are under the leaves), used to cure jaundice?

It is Phyllanthus polyphyllus, called as 'Siru Nelli' (meaning Small Amla) in 
Tamil.
