Leaf or the spathe hairs perhaps can refer to reduce the grazing. As much
haired are less browsed and less affected!

Hairs on stamens in *Cyanotis*, *Murdannia *and *Tradescantia *are
unicellular and moniliform as well. But here it can be referred as food or
help to attract the pollinators.

Hairs on fruits, as in section Rhopalephora are usually glandular, and may
referred as to improve the seed dispersal.
