That means , non prickly variety should be L. camara var. camara .
I must admit , I could not find a description for var. camara in one and
half hour on net .
Flora of Pakistan gives some 6-7 varieties , no description , no var.
camara .
In fact in a 1996 article on JSTOR , a drawing showed  L. camara var.
camara with prickles .
