mentions Cleome viscosa  as Nayi Bela [Kannada]. However Nayi bela is not a 
herb, it is a big tree and translates to Limonia acidissima. 

The first Kannada to English dictionary by Rev. Ferdinand. Kittel [1894] with 
70,000 words mentions
"The plant Cleome viscosa with yellow flowers - Gandu naaballi [Kannada] " Most 
of the scientific names are mentioned here & a good source.
