The two are obviously close enough, as per this statement in eFlora of
China.

*Strobilanthes tomentosa* was incorrectly reported as *S. glutinosa*
Nees (*Pseudaechmanthera
glutinosa* (Nees) Bremekamp) by Handel-Mazzetti (Symb. Sin. 7: 894. 1936).
