Thanks, Yogesh ji. There seems to be some confusion here about the correct nomenclature. Catalogue of Life gives two names as below: *Spergula marina* Dufour ex Steud. being a syn. of *Spergularia rubra *(L.) J. Presl & C. Presl <https://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/86599d1175d6364260ca34793d635455/synonym/bb2f65d758a5e6b1ab068be6b6d09427> with distribution as Jammu & Kashmir (Kashmir), India (Haryana, Uttar Pradesh), Pakistan (Sind, Baluchistan, Quetta, N.W.Frontier Prov., Swat, Pakistani Punjab, Rawalpindi). *Spergula marina* (L.) Bartl. & H. L. Wendl. being a syn. of *Spergularia marina *(L.) Besser <https://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/66a7e39c8e794ec1e5c0565b821a7403/synonym/872d0dd733acf8dd79e4b254bd1e7aa7> with no distribution in our area.
As per keys in Flora of North America <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=130838>, stamens are Stamens 6-10 in *Spergularia rubra* <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=220012740> and Stamens 1-5 in *Spergularia salina* <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=1&taxon_id=242349894> (syn. of *Spergularia marina *(L.) Besser <https://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/66a7e39c8e794ec1e5c0565b821a7403/synonym/872d0dd733acf8dd79e4b254bd1e7aa7> ) So we have to go with *Spergularia rubra *(L.) J. Presl & C. Presl <https://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/86599d1175d6364260ca34793d635455/synonym/bb2f65d758a5e6b1ab068be6b6d09427> On Fri, 21 Feb 2020 at 00:37, Yogesh Sharma <[email protected]> wrote: > Respected all, > > This one is *Spergula marina *(L.)
