Many thanks Garg ji for following up on this query. Since there is no known name for this plant in Marathi, I am giving a name *कुक्कुरदंत* *kukkuradanta*, literal meaning - dog tooth, कुक्कुर = dog; दंत = tooth. In Kannada (*ನಾಯಿಕುಳಿ* *naayikuli*) and Tulu (*ನಾಯಿಕ್ಕೂಲಿ* *naaikkuli*) - the names literally mean "dog tooth" ... due to plant's well-known therapeutic efficacy against dog bite.
