Dear Kanwal ji, i think it is your turn now! Please throw more light on the
plant...like....who collected? what was the habit?...occurrence
(wild/cultivated)...etc. And by any chance do you have picture of the entire
plant?

I am pretty sure that it is *Pandanus*. Even the habitat (river in the
backround) suggests the same. Lets hear from Kanwal ji and others too...
