I too think this Jacaranda mimosaefolia D. Don. According to the book 'Trees of Mumbai', the tree has a pyramidal structure of cluster of flowers as seen in your pics. The colour of the flowers becomes pale with passing days as seen in your pics. The basal leaflets are larger than apical ones, I can see a few like that in your pics.
