Thanks Garg ji, I had already given it considerable thought. It is true that there is no record of Kadsura longipedunculata in India yet. However, the long peduncles of our flowers do not agree with *Kadsura heteroclita *(see description at FOC <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242327635>), while they agree well with *Kadsura longipedunculata.* So I treat it as a new record for India.
