Dear Mr. Tanay
It is an indigenous plant to India by having traditional records like
Ayurveda and Siddha

Common name: Tamil: Milagarani.

Milagarani means, it is used as an alternative for Piper longum in Siddha.

The name *Toddalia *derives from *kaki-toddalia*, the *Malabar name* for an
Indian species of climbing-orange.
