I found a paper online, "FLORA OF DHANIKHARI EXPERIMENTAL 
GARDEN-CUM-ARBORETUM,
PORT BLAIR, ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLANDS" by S. K. SRIVASTAVA and P. S . N. 
RAO

which claims that the local name Gurjan is used for the species 
Dipterocarpus grandiflorus.
