Dear all,

At least nineteen different plant species (list is given below) are having
the same common name 'Rasna', according to FRLHT's database.
http://envis.frlht.org/ver_search.php

So, whatever information provided (Ctrl C plus Ctrl V!) in this thread are
perhaps pertaining to the 'drug' Rasna and may not be of this plant in
particular. Because some version of 'Rasna' may not contain Pluchea at all!

[Some expert in Ayurveda in our group may be in a position to explain this
situation much better. Noorie, are you reading this!].

And another bitter truth is that most of the information found on internet
(except few really serious, authentic sites) are need to be verified! One
such simple example: check for Terminalia bellirica in the same site
referred by Mr.Tanay, and see the picture! The same picture has been copied
and used in several sites incorrectly, without proper verification.
Similarly there are hundreds of sites having unverified information!
