In my state, one of the local names of Gloriosa is Jhagadhin means Jhagda karane vala. It is old saying that presence of this plant in home garden results in family dispute.
One can consider it as blind faith but our forefathers were not fool. There must be some logic in it. We must try to search scientifc reason behind this saying. As you know, it is very toxic plant and it must be kept far from approach of children and pet. This may be the reason our forefathers have associated this fear with this herb. Natives are still following this instruction sincerely. I have written on it in Hindi blog.
