Paspalum urvillei, Paspalum dilatatum, Paspalum longifolium, all these are
highly variable with several intermediate forms too. Probably they are
result of cultivation, hybridisation and polyploidy and also spread through
imported cattle breeds. Sometimes these grasses also take giant forms with
giant spikelets and upto 1 cm broad rachis. However, with the characters in
the photograph, one would go with P.urvillei
