I saw a magnificent specimen at the Howrah Bot Gardens in 1978 but could not find the tree despite searching avidly in 1989. It was in full bloom in Feb, standing at the edge of a bank with its flower-laden branches sweeping down, almost to the water . Truly a memorable sight! Padmini Raghavan.
