While wring the name of this plant it is always suggested to check the spelling twice as the most common error is where it is spelled as *Euphorbia peplis*, which is completely a different plant commonly known as purple spurge. The latex of *Euphorbia peplus* is highly toxic and also has medicinal values known to treat skin cancer.
