Congratulations to Team-efloraofindia and its team leader for designing, developing and maintaining it, uninterrupted, for all these 14 years. We do not know how many people in India and abroad (students, researchers, hard core taxonomists, nature lovers, foresters etc) have been benefited by the content of this site but this number must be in millions. A treasure open to all, and freely! Here, the spirit behind this database "open to all and freely", in spite of a lot of personal efforts and resources by the team, is overwhelming. It is a true service to the country, science and nature. efloraofindia is still a teenager but many experienced personalities are here to groom it and lead it to its brightest future. Though, eFI has already proved its metal in teens. The last year was indeed the most challenging but all the difficulties were overcome by the apt decisions made by the team, from time to time. Last year and this year too are restrictive on the outdoor activities of plant explorations but many of the contributors here have such a large treasure of plant images that the inflow of content never dried up; salutes to all contributors- new or older. The contribution of Dr Pankaj Ji is highly appreciated. Despite his own duties he always responded to each orchid species ID. We are fortunate that we have an ever helping hand for the species identification in this largest family of Angiosperms. I wish the corona pandemic ends soon and we all run to the wilds for documentation of more and more species of Indian flora from every corner and nook. I further wish for a webinar type event (open to all or to members of eFI) in which Garg Ji talks about its (eFI) origin and objectives while some other experts talk about plant photography, content of eFI and at last the words of wisdom from G. Singh Sir- "Pitamah of eFI'. Best wishes and Namaskar to all on this platform.
