The flowering at Kas plateau mostly starts from mid August. Around mid
september the entire plateau is full of utricularias, balsams, karvi, sonki,
murdanias, borage, begonias etc.

The best time to visit kas is around mid september by the time the monsoon has
also receded otherwise in the rains one can not even come out of the vehicle.
Few years back I have visited the area every month from August to November.
Every time different flora is seen. But by end september most of the flowers
appear in full bloom.

At satara not only kas is the place where wild flowering is observed. A place
where the famous Thoseghar water fall is located just ahead of it near the wind
farms different types of flowers especially wild balsams are found. This
variety is not at all seen at Kas.

Is kaas throughout the year so beautiful or just in
or after monsoon?

What is the best time to visit kaas?
