Yes, you seem to be right as per POWO <https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:823314-1> specimens- one <http://www.kew.org/herbcatimg/114671.jpg> I checked distribution of all the species in BSI Flora of India <https://efloraindia.bsi.gov.in/eFlora/taxonList.action?id=3315&type=3>. There is another species Eriolaena wallichii <https://efloraindia.bsi.gov.in/eFlora/taxonList.action?id=3324&type=4>, which is shown distributed in eastern Himalayas as per POWO <https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:823318-1>, but looks different.
