I am so sorry to intrude./disagree..as I have never heard of or seen 
Aspalathus.
But it is in the pea family and to me the flowers shown do not look like 
pea flowers.

"Aspalathus is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae."

Sorry I cannot help with the id.
