Thank you Balkar Sir and Gurcharan Sir for sharing photos and info. respectively. Even in Garhwal Himalayas also it is commonly known as 'Ban-Kakari' and here to people consider fruits edible. Have come across this species in wild in Har-ki-Dun and few more places in Uttarkashi district of Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
