Garg ji< In my opinion, it is *Potentilla argyrophylla* Wall. ex Lehm. (Syn. *P. atrosanguinea* var. *argyrophylla* (Wall. ex Lehm.) Grierson & D.G.Long), which occurs in high-altitude areas in H.P. While going through "Plants of Ladakh" by Dorjey and Dolma, a similar-looking plant was mentioned as *Potentilla cathaclines* Lehm. (Syn. *P. venusta* Sojak). That's why I wanted to know the differences between these two and to look for the later species in the adjoining areas of Ladakh. Regards
