Typical M. longifolia (M. longifolia var. longifolia) according to both Fl. Pakistan and Fl. China is characterised by nearly sessile leaves. Here we can see4 distinct petioles. M. royleana does not have distribution in Nepal but M. asiatica now considered as synonym of M longifolia var. asiatica does have wide distribution from Afghanistan to China, that may cover Nepal although it may not be reported locally, because taxonomy ofr this complex has been much misunderstood.
