The local name you mentioned is the wrong one.. Chindey is a different tree
often used to make Chatney and the leaf extract are used for stomach
problems infact for Kidney related problems.

Will get back to you once i remember the local name of Sambucus canadensis
(only plant species under sambucaceae family found in Darjeeling as far as
i know).
