It is sad to inform you that Dr. H.P.Wood (USA) passed away in June this
year. I came to know about his demise today by Dr. André Schuiteman from
Kew. For those who dont know, Dr. Wood was a medical doctor
(psychiatrist) by profession but he has done some great work on Orchids
since 1979. His work was mainly focussed on the largest group of
epiphytic orchid "Dendrobium" and written a monographic work "The
Dendrobiums" (~1000 pages), a copy of which he gifted to me on my last
birthday. He had also been reviewing few of my Orchid articles.

Dr. Rawat, Dr. Wood and me were writing two articles in joint-authorship
which still remains incomplete !!
