It reminds me of *Psydrax* as well. Perhaps what we have here are not flowering bodies at all! Could these be small axillary spurs instead? Solitary, axillary projections like the ones in this photograph <http://www.biotik.org/india/species/c/cantdium/cantdium_06_en.html> of *Psydrax* (syn. *Canthium*) on the Biotik website <http://www.biotik.org/india/species/c/cantdium/cantdium_06_en.html>. Similar projections can be discerned in some photographs of *Psydrax <https://efloraofindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/IMG_8242.JPG-foi.JPG>* in the efloraofindia <https://efloraofindia.com/category/species/m-z/r/rubiaceae/psydrax/> archive. I don't know what the white substance in Sam ji's images could be, maybe it is an infection.
