Your are right. This is the actual Paspalum distichum also called Paspalum 
paspalodes.
There is another sp. Paspalum vaginatum, which is often mistaken as 
P.distichum. It has shorter and stiff racemes with larger ovate spikelets 
than the actual P.distichum.
