A high-altitude plant type locality is Noakote, Nepal 
Previously, it was considered a Variety of* Blumea hieracifolia *DC. 
Distribution - India: Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, 
Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Odisha, possibly Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand 
Foothills
