Many many thanks Muthu for pointing to *Beilschmiedia* and allied species.
I did a little bit of checking on the internet for *Beilschmiedia dalzellii*
/ *Beilschmiedia wightii* / *Phoebe paniculata*.

*Beilschmiedia wightii* seems the best candidate - because of the glossy
upper surface of the leaves, the distinctly pale underside with the heavy,
prominent midrib.
